Facing East you can see a lion in the sky. It's Sinh Rashi. The stars  in it are comparatively bright. It consists of 3 Nakshatras,Magha,Poorva Falguni & Uttara Falguni. Magha is the 10 th Nakshatra . Magha Meaning: “The Mighty” or “The Magnificent” or “The Great One” When full moon is in this Nakshatra, the month is Magh,11th one. It has 6 stars, looks like sickle.4 stars form a small parallelogram, exactly below the large parallelogram of Punrvasu & Laghulubhdhak.(लघु लुब्धक)the small dog of Vyadh. It can be located in another way.   You can easily see Saptarshi or Big Dipper in sky. The line passing through 2 pair of stars as shown extends to Regulus / Magha star in Leo. Look towards East. You will get the big parallelogram quite high in the sky. We have seen last time that,  the first pair of bright stars ,is the Punarvasu Nakshatra. Draw an emaginary isosceles triangle, considering the two bottom points of parallelogram, just offside of the apex ,  you can see a faint cluster (Beehive Cluster) which is located in Pushya Nakshatra, the 8th one. Pushya means to provide nourishment. When the Sun is in Pushya Nakshatra, the crop is nourished. When full Moon is in this Nakshatra, it is Paush month, the 10th one. The faint stars in Y shape is the Kark Rashi (Cancer), the forth one. In the line of Pushya, just above offside, the Ashlesha Nakshatra can be seen.  It's the 9th Nakshatra. It's in the shape of Marathi 'ए ' . There are 5 stars, small pentagon. It's the head of the Vasuki, the great snake. Hydra in English. Hydra occupies major portion of the sky. It's all for today. Next we will see another Nakshatra. Till then bye.......

We have seen first 4 Nakshatras last time.  Now start from Mrug Nakshatra. It's fifth Nakshatra. Last time we have seen it with large rectangle joining 4 feets of Mrug. Now see a small triangle in front of the two feets forming an equilateral triangle.  It's Mrugshirsh. When full moon comes near to it,it's  marathi month Margshirsh. Extend the sloping line of 3 stars upwards you get the brightest star in this region of the sky. It's called as Vyadh (Sirius), the hunter, whose arrow is in the belly of the Mrug (Deer). It's called as 'Kohinoor of Southern Hemisphere ' Another line of 3 stars ,nearby the arrow, is the tail of Mrug, bent inwards.  After Mrug comes Ardra,Sixth Nakshatra, which means wet. Farmers eagerly wait for this Nakshatra for bowing seeds.  Then comes Punarvasu,Seventh in the series.  So we start from it. You can see a parallogram up in the sky which 3 stars are bright.  The pair of two bright stars, is the Punrvasu Nakshatra and the ot...
