Nakshatras(8,9)

Look towards East.

You will get the big parallelogram quite high in the sky.

We have seen last time that,  the first pair of bright stars ,is the Punarvasu Nakshatra.

Draw an emaginary isosceles triangle, considering the two bottom points of parallelogram, just offside of the apex ,

you can see a faint cluster (Beehive Cluster) which is located in Pushya Nakshatra, the 8th one.

Pushya means to provide nourishment.

When the Sun is in Pushya Nakshatra, the crop is nourished.

When full Moon is in this Nakshatra, it is Paush month, the 10th one.

The faint stars in Y shape is the Kark Rashi (Cancer), the forth one.

In the line of Pushya, just above offside, the Ashlesha Nakshatra can be seen.

It's the 9th Nakshatra.

It's in the shape of Marathi 'ए ' .

There are 5 stars, small pentagon.

It's the head of the Vasuki, the great snake.

Hydra in English.

Hydra occupies major portion of the sky.

It's all for today.

Next we will see another Nakshatra.

Till then bye.......
