Mrug Part 2

According to Greek mythology it is Orion - the hunter. In vedas ,Mrug Nakshatra is also called as Agrhain.Shortform of that may be Orion, say many.

The belt at the waist of Orion consists of three stars.Again 3 stars crossing this belt forms his sword.

In between the space of Orion (Mrug) & (Aldebaran ) you can see his bow.

The three dim stars above the shoulder of Orion is his head.

Now see the red star which is at the left shoulder. It's name is  Betelgeuse (kakshi). It's  in the last stage of it's life.

Betelgeuse is one of the largest stars visible to the naked eye. If it were at the center of our Solar System, its surface would lie beyond the asteroid belt and it would engulf the orbits of MercuryVenusEarthMars, and possibly Jupiter

Diagonally apposite to it there's a blue star naming Rigel, also known as Beta Orionis, is a B-type blue supergiant that is the sixth brightest star in the night sky. . It serves as the right foot of Orion, the hunter.

Bellatrix is designated Gamma Orionis . It is the twenty-seventh brightest star in the night sky. Bellatrix is considered a B-type blue giant, though it is too small to explode in a supernova. Bellatrix marks Orion's right shoulder and it means the "female warrior", and is sometimes known colloquially as the "Amazon Star". It is the closest major star in Orion at only 244.6 light years.

Saiph is designated Kappa Orionis by Bayer, and serves as Orion's left foot. It is of a similar distance and size to Rigel, but appears much fainter. It means the "sword of the giant"

So these are the main stars of Orion.

Hope you enjoyed the reading.

Bye then till the next story.......
